DEQ extends vehicle inspection station closures to at least May 31, other inspection options available

Following the decision to close DEQ vehicle inspection stations, the Oregon Environmental Quality Commission adopted an emergency order, Wednesday, March 18, to allow for short-term deferrals of emissions test requirements. The deferrals apply to motor vehicles with registrations expiring between Feb. 15 and April 14, 2020 that have not already been renewed.

In response to the “Stay Home, Save Lives” Executive Order to reduce the effects of the COVID-19 virus, a coalition of Oregon state agencies are asking Oregonians to voluntarily refrain from conducting outdoor burning.
